All of that in that small pack?
How do you fully prepare, and pack for a six week trip? Really there are a few options, but I prefer to make a pack list to make sure I don’t forget anything important. Since I am doing only carry on for this trip I want to make sure that I do not overpack. Having to carry all that weight around for six weeks would do a number on the back!

Clothing
Packing for this long of a trip can be challenging due to the fact that I will be bouncing around. One mistake a lot of people make while packing is trying to create outfits instead of packing articles of clothing that matches regardless. For guys we can just pack 6 shirts, preferably merino wool, and maybe 4 pairs of shorts. These countries have facilities to do laundry, and most will do it for you for a small fee. My goal for packing now is to have everything fit inside a 35 liter pack. One essential to helping everything fit, and making sure you are not overpacking, is the use of packing cubes.These things can be lifesavers with how well they make everything fit, and plus it is much easier to stay organized. One more tip would be to roll your clothes instead of folding. When you roll your clothes it helps save space as well as help keep your clothes from wrinkling! Electronics
It’s a vacation so your electronics should definitely not hinder your experience, or distract you from taking in the culture of where you are visiting. I say that because too often I see people with their nose buried in their phones checking their social media, and not paying attention to what is around them. I’m not saying all electronics are bad just that they can be a distraction and sometimes can put a target on you to be robbed. When I travel I try to be cautious as to what I bring and showing it off. I usually bring my laptop so I can write, and download photos from the day. Besides my laptop I tend to only bring the basics such as my camera, charging chords, and a usb power station. Slimming down to a 35L pack really helps limit the amount of electronicsI bring!
